EMPATHEAST & Hackathon Vratsa present: Social Impact Hackathon

This is a hackathon which seeks solutions to real social challenges – newly born ideas which can improve the environment and the life of people from Vratsa, the region, the country and worldwide!

During Code week Vratsa (22-23 October) teams of programmers will take on the uneasy challenge of coding in order to help with real social problems.

The cases they’ll be faced with are in the field of social entrepreneurship and social innovations. Each team will seek an applicable solution to a current social problem through technology. Few of them will choose a concrete challenge, given by an experienced Bulgarian NGO which needs software support in order to execute its social (hardware J) mission.

All digital solutions will be presented at EMPATHEAST 2016 in front of potential investors, software companies and businesses and some of the teams will receive awards.
