The Voice of the Place / VOX LOCUS

What stories can the locals tell us? How can the reality of everyday life for the people of Vratsa turn into theatre? Is there a connecting thread in their speech which is apparent and which we could call the voice of Vratsa?

VOX LOCUS/ The Voice of the Place is a workshop led by Neda Sokolovska from the Studio of Documentary Theatre VOX POPULI. It will introduce us to the beginning stage of creating a documentary performance. Its main fuel and its meaning are conversations with the local people who the actors will eventually reincarnate during the performance. This technique is known as “verbatim”.
